Polls on Turkey’s Municipal Elections in 2019

AKP chair & President Erdoğan answered journalists’ questions on public broadcaster TRT, “I think all polling agencies will declare bankruptcy. They give us such irrelevant numbers that they can not find the results right.”
PIAR Polling Agency announced their predictions for Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Aydın ahead of upcoming municipal elections based on CATI with 11.445 people with a fault margin of 2.1%:
Istanbul
CHP 50.3%
AKP 48.2%
Ankara
CHP 54.4%
AKP 43,2%
Izmir
CHP 63.1%
AKP 35.6%
Antalya
CHP 52.7%
AKP 45.3%
Adana
MHP 53.3%
CHP 45.5%
Aydın
CHP 60.4%
AKP 37.4%
While according to this poll, governing alliance seems to be winning only in Adana and that is under MHP with AKP losing everywhere among all other target cities which seems like an attempt to mobilize AKP voters to go to polls despite calls from former AKP supporting journalists not to cast a ballot in this election as the party has been ignoring the warnings from their voter-base in the last few years. The polling agency’s justification for the numbers say “undecided AKP voters hold the decision in their hands; if they go to polls and cast a vote, AKP could win and remain in power”. In Izmir and Ankara justifications, the agency notes that CHP will enjoy a comfortable victory, with support of even AKP voters.
